At the start of our journey in dairy production, we asked ourselves an important question: “Why are organic and all-natural products packaged in petroleum-based bottles, and why is there no plant-based alternative?” This question sparked the search for a more sustainable solution, and the answer was found in PLA. PLA is a 100% plant-based bioplastic that contains no petroleum or harmful substances.
PLA bottles for milk started about 20 years ago and until this day, the same question remains relevant: “Why are organic and natural products still packaged in petroleum bottles?” It has never made sense, and it still doesn’t.
